Nicehop wins Venture On The Road Málaga

On 21st October, the Salón de Actos de Turismo de Andalucía in Málaga was the first stop of the III Venture On The Road, the roadshow directed by SeedRocket and BStartup, designed to provide access to investors and networking in different cities.

The stop in the Andalusian city had the collaboration of the local partner Andalucía Open Future. The opening was in charge of Loreto del Valle, General Director of Digital Economy and Innovation of Andalucía Open Future, Ray Altabás, Community Builder & PR of SeedRocket, and Yolanda Pérez, Director of BStartup.

After the presentation, it was time to meet the four finalist projects at the Málaga event:

  • Courbox Learning: an online platform that seeks to help high school students overcome their academic goals.
  • Hack Me Up: the community that allows you to connect powerful developers with job offers by testing talent in ‘hackathones’.
  • Nicehop: platform that sends the best travel offers directly to your mobile phone thanks to IA.
  • IoVestigia: traceability platform that certifies the originality of products through blockchain, which allows controlling a product from its manufacture to its sale in real time.

Nicehop won after the jury’s deliberation, formed by Roger Blanch, BStartup Advisor, Juan Jesús Velasco, head of El Cubo in Andalucía Open Future, Bernardo Quintero, founder of VirusTotal and Francis J. Martínez, Founder and CEO of Interactivos.net.

The first stop of the III Venture On The Road featured the keynote of Jesús Monleón, founder of SR4Founders, investor and serial entrepreneur. In the keynote “Why is it better not to have partners?” He shared some of the mistakes when undertaking together. “I don’t know of any startup in which the partners have not been angry.”

Congratulations to Nicehop! And thank you to the finalist startups and to all the projects registered in the roadshow of SeedRocket and BStartup, as well as the local partner Andalucía Open Future and the jury. See you at the next stop!
