Of course, we incorporate all the experience of Banco Sabadell, a bank that has specialized in companies since its foundation, with a very in-depth knowledge of banking operations and internationalization for companies.

The main difference is that, in the case of investment, BStartup will enter as an investment partner in your start-up taking an equity percentage of your capital and supporting you with additional services.

If we’re talking about financing, we will finance your start-up through bank debt (specialized banking product such as loan, credit, leasing, renting, factoring, reverse factoring…), which you will have to pay back in the established terms plus an established interest rate; in this case, we do not enter into the capital of your company.

Our equity investment targets early-stage digital and technology companies, with strong growth potential and scalable and innovative business models. Additionally, we can make follow-on investments in our portfolio startups. We have no sector preferences, although we have launched two verticals: BStartupHealth and BStartupGreen (to invest in startups focused on environmental sustainability).

The stake that BStartup10 takes depends on the post-money value once the investment round is closed, taking into account that the investment we make is between €100,000 and €150,000.

BStartup invests up to €200,000 per company, but can accompany startups in subsequent investment rounds through Sabadell Venture Capital, the bank’s investment vehicle for more advanced stages that can invest up to €2M per company. We usually co-invest with other investors, so rounds can be much larger.
