Scope wins at the second edition of SIConnect Sevilla

On 27th November, the SIConnect event was held in the city of Sevilla. The meeting between investors and startups is promoted by GoHub, the Consejería de Economía, Conocimiento, Empresas y Universidades de la Junta de Andalucía and BStartup, whose objective is to strengthen and connect the best talent in the city.

On this occasion, there were four finalist startups:

  • Esportter: digital solutions for amateur sports clubs that allow them to optimize time and resources and increase revenue.
  • Inveert: personal digital assistant for financial planning, which helps to achieve financial objectives in a personalized way.
  • Scope: a help to measure the productivity of the development teams and analyse the performance by visualizing the data of the code contributions.
  • Pixitours: marketplace for booking professional photo sessions when you are traveling.

The jury was composed of Toño Huerta, from GoHubTech; Pedro Lissen Ortega, from BStartup; Gracia Catalina Piñero, from the Programa Minerva and Gregorio López, CEO of MOX. After the deliberation, Scope won at the second edition of SIConnect Sevilla.

After the pitches of each startup, we were able to enjoy the “Investor & Startup Connect” session with Tom Horsey, co-founder of the Crazy4media group, specialist in digital marketing and Business Angel and investor in MOX, a startup specialized in the express messaging sector and one of the most promising Andalusian startups.

Tom Horsey helped boost MOX and at the end of 2017 they already had a presence in eight cities, expanding the team to about twenty employees. Soon later they opted to make the international leap to Mexico City and closed the year achieving a turnover of 300,000 euros.

Currently, MOX is in the process of international expansion. This Andalusian startup has managed to have a presence in much of the national territory and has begun the conquest of the Italian market, in addition to enhancing its presence in Mexico.

Thank you all for joining us at SIConnect Sevilla and see you next time.
