TripStop wins Venture on the Road Asturias

TripStop has been declared the winner of the first stop of Venture on the Road, which took place yesterday afternoon in the city of Gijón. The program has been organized by BStartup of Banco Sabadell, SeedRocket and Wayra, the corporate venture capital of Telefónica, with the addition of Google Cloud as a collaborator.

 

The VIII edition of Venture On The Road, which this year started in Asturias, maintains, for another year, its objective of seeking the best investment opportunities in each region and giving startups in the initial phases the opportunity to present their project to investors and generate a network of quality professional contacts.

 

At this first stop, which was held yesterday, Wednesday, December 4, at the Gijón Science and Technology Park, Venture On the Road had the collaboration of local partners thanks to CEEI Asturias, Gijón Impulsa, Astur Valley and El Camaleón de Rubik.

 

The four finalist startups were:

 

  • AcuPet: computer program to monitor the health of pets thanks to its own neural networks that at the same time helps promote healthy actions in people.
  • Enfasys: modular control system for the management of energy flows that will be implemented in the commercial and industrial sectors with a hybrid installation between solar generation and energy storage in lithium batteries.
  • Code Evolution 24: space with multiple tools where communities can have their entire audience in a controlled space in which they can They can interact with them, while generating valuable data for their businesses.
  • TripStop: an application to find spaces for motorhomes or campers where you can spend the night, with real-time verified tourist information and reservations.

 

Also participating in the event was Rubén Ferreiro, CEO of Grupo Viko, co-founder of Yaba, managing partner of Lanai Partners and mentor of SeedRocket, who was in charge of offering entrepreneurs a presentation under the title: “Key decision: self-financing or venture capital in your company” where he addressed the various forms of financing that entrepreneurs can choose and the implications of each of them.

 

TripStop, the winning startup of Venture on the Road Asturias, already has its place in the grand national final that will be held in May 2025 in Madrid, together with the winning projects from the rest of the cities. It will also be able to be part of the Google Cloud digital natives program with up to $2,000 in credits valid for 12 months, architectural review and technical monitoring with the platform’s own engineers, as well as preferential access to advanced training in the Google Cloud Platform training programs. In addition, it will automatically enter the selection process for the SeedRocket Entrepreneurs Campus (33rd or 34th edition), which will be held in May and November 2025 respectively.

 

Venture on the Road begins its itinerant tour of different Spanish cities in Gijón to locate talent and promising startups at a regional level beyond the major reference hubs such as Madrid and Barcelona. Specifically, the event will pass through Zaragoza, Seville, Bilbao, Girona and Alicante.
